Welcome to the O Deer Christmas Treasure Hunt…
Originally, we were going to do a single post featuring the O Deer Favorite Christmas Shopping Sites. However, we are such an eclectic group, with intersecting but still widely divergent tastes and styles, that we decided to do not one, but three gift guides featuring the places and products we like best for online shopping. Like Kaylah, Gaia is a twenty-something finding her way in a fast-paced world, but she has a very different view of it than her niece. She is O Deer’s sweet side, with a soft artist’s heart and soul, a purveyor of cuteness in all its forms… (gwen)
Cute Gifts For the People Most *Deer* to You
Hoo boy, is it almost Christmas time? I’m not even over Halloween yet. I’ve spent November telling Mom that it’s Novemberween and doodling skeletons and ghosts in my journal. Unsurprisingly, this has not stopped time from progressing so now I’m gearing up for Christmas. I imagine that you’re thinking about the holidays too, huh? Are you looking for something special for a special someone with a fondness for cute things? If so, then you’re at the right place!
Have a Pokemon fan in your life? Banette’s Toybox specializes in rare Pokémon plushies, some of them imported directly from Japan.
BeeZeeArt sells a variety of cute plushies and pillows. There’s also patterns that you can either buy for someone you know who sews or for yourself if you want to make some sweet handmade gifts.
The name of this store is pretty accurate— the plushies they sell are indeed very fuzzy and there is a good chance that they will make you giggle upon seeing just how fuzzy they are.
Gingermelon makes adorable little doll patterns and sells supplies. Another great place to look if you want to sew something handmade.
Mijbil Creatures makes adorable one-of-a-kind altered art toys.
Omocat creates cool illustrations, shirts, and comics in a manga-inspired style.
Tasty Peach Studios designs clothes, accessories, and plushies with an adorable Japanese-inspired style.
Vaivanat sells beautiful felted accessories, hats with ears, and cat cocoons (it’s too bad the cats at our house refuse to sleep in anything intentionally made for cats).
While you’re shopping, don’t forget to stop by our Etsy shop— O Deer Mercantile! We carry a nice selection of vintage and handcrafted items, many of which would make great holiday gifts. There is an assortment of my little handmade plush friends like the Bunny Rabbit pictured here just hoping to fill a stocking or wait under the tree in a new home for Christmas…
