Mid Century Dishes & Serveware

Was it just a couple of weeks ago that I was declaring my love for Mid Century accouterments for the home? As I continue the JOB of sorting through my accumulated Etsy Shop Stock that got packed up in our move last summer, I spy quite a few objects from that beloved era. Sadly, (Happy for me… 😛 ) some of these items wont find their way into the shop, at least not in the short term, because they have already found Home here.

However, before long I should be adding quite a few pieces of vintage barware, some more pyrex, corning ware and some nifty 1960s Tupperware Cannisters. I wont keep it all!

This week I am featuring some very cool pieces of Mid Century dishes… I bought all that I found. I so wish it might have been a set instead of scattered pieces. However, they are attractive on their own and would be great to complete a set or join a mix and match collection.

Mid Century Royal China Celeste Pattern Blue Starbursrt Bowls ~ Six Atomic Star Salad/Snack Bowls- $30.00

Turquoise blue atomic starburst pattern bowls made in the 1950s. Six Royal China’s Celeste Pattern salad bowls. Distinctively shaped mid century design.

These bowls are mostly in great vintage condition. There is no crazing, cracks or discoloration, but two bowls have very small chips in rims (one so slight I only found because I slid my finger along edge), and one has some imperfections in the finish which appear to have been from the factory. Bowls measure 6 1/2 inches (7 inches on edge with lip) in diameter, and 1 1/2 inches deep.

Coming Soon…

My long overdue post about the slow renovations in my workroom/studio. It has at least reached a point where I enjoy spending time in here, and can mostly find what I am looking for.

Kaylah is working on a post about her end of 2016 Trip to New York.

Gaia and I are going to feature some of our favorite thrift shops in the Daytona Beach area soon.

See you…
