Happy New Year From O Deer Mercantile
The O Deer Mercantile team, Gwen, Gaia and Kaylah, wish you the happiest, healthiest and most prosperous New Year! It has been a crazy year for us, and we didn’t always meet the goals and get to the projects we intended, but we tried. We gave it all we had! Perhaps the best possible resolution for 2017 is to keep on trying —to be the best that we can be and to keep on aiming high.
As I write this, Kaylah is on a Grand Adventure! She is visiting New York City for the first time, and plans to spend New Years Eve at the famous Times Square celebration. While the Gramma part of me is somewhat taken aback by the thought of my Grandgirl in the midst of all that, I am so happy and excited for her at the same time. I hope she has a ball, and perhaps she will write about it in the weeks to come. I am sure she will have some amazing photos to share.
Gaia and I will be spending New Years Eve in a somewhat more sedate fashion. We will be cozy at home. Probably playing card and board games, drinking champagne punch and trying to spot Kaylah on tv while we watch the Ball Drop. Quite honestly, all the social events leading up to Christmas, while lots of fun, have left me feeling the need to recharge.
Resolving to Be the Best We Can Be
If I have any personal Resolutions this year, they are mostly health oriented. There is though, more than a little Spiritual aspect to my hopes for the New Year as well. Santa left bicycles under the tree this year, and that will be a wonderful way to get more exercise. I have been thinking a lot about diet also. (I want to begin the year with a cleanse and then work on making better choices.) So, pretty standard in the resolution department. However, I also want to get back into the habit of regular meditation, and am looking into the possibility of taking some Reiki Healing classes this year. Exciting prospects.
I am getting ready to take Stock in our O Deer Mercantile Shop and begin a New Clearance section for items that have been hanging around for awhile. I hope you’ll stop by and check it out.
Wishing everyone a safe and fun celebration this weekend. See you next year…
