No feature this week! I am busy getting ready to host our family Easter Dinner and Egg Hunt this weekend. We just spent the afternoon cleaning the Florida room and pool deck. The weather should be lovely for Easter. I am glad, though we are badly in need of rain. It has been very dry since the latter half of last summer, and the news is full of reports of brush fires. Stiff March and April breezes can always be counted on to make those worse.
However, for now we are going to count our blessings. Lovely spring weather and a good time to get together and enjoy one another. We are so busy these days it seems, that the chance to have a family Day is a celebration indeed.
The mantle is decorated with chicks, eggs and a cute laser cut wood sign I found at Big Lots. Other pieces, the milk glass vases, wood bird house, etc. are thrift store finds. The vintage looking Easter Bunny Cards I used on the ribbon banner I made two years ago were from a fellow Etsy seller—The PackageHouse. They are adorable, and still available.
The antique bench in our entryway is home to this cute vintage bunny throw pillow, and the sweet mama and baby bunny planter I just found last week. Both are from my thrifting expeditions.
Bejeweled Bunny, a gift from my Mom some years ago, guards the apothecary jars filled with Easter Candies on the dining room server.
We at O Deer Mercantile wish you and all of yours a Blessed and Happy Easter weekend…
Til next time!
