The Last Summer Holiday (Sigh…)
When last summer flew by me in a rush, I blamed it on moving and all of the insanity that goes along with changing your address. The year before, though I don’t think of it as often now, was a blur of hospitals and increasingly bad news as we dealt with the terminal illness of a family member. In the grander scheme of things, this summer has been a piece of cake (that’s relative, I know) but has still passed by at an alarming pace.
Seems like just a moment ago, we were hosting a Memorial Day Cookout and the little ones were anticipating summer vacation. Now, the grand-kids have been back in school for a couple of weeks and looking forward to their first school holiday. Of course, we do live in Florida. No matter what the calendar might say, I am not even close to being in the mood for Pumpkin Lattes or the fall and winter clothing showing up in all the stores. The speed with which Halloween and often Christmas decor as well are going into the stores and shops is Scary.
O Deer Mercantile Labor Day Sale
However, all that being said, we are merchants ourselves, and as such, are already looking ahead to the shopping season to come. I’ve been listing Christmas items for weeks now so that my customers have plenty of time to round out their vintage decor before the holiday rush. This weekend though, we are having a Labor Day Sale along with lots of other Etsy Merchants. This is the first ever coordinated sale event on the site, and O Deer Mercantile is proud to be participating. Starting today and lasting through Labor Day Monday—September 4th— receive a 20% discount on all orders of $20 or more. We can’t wait for you to stop by…
